What are you passionate about?
There are a number of things that I’m quite passionate about. I know that if I should begin listing them on a piece of paper, I’d be surprised by the results. Today, I’ll share with you some of these things.
Authenticity
I’ve always wanted to be a person who remains true to herself. Someone who does not betray herself in difficult situations. Authenticity is a value that I’ve spent years struggling with and also working on. One of the worst things for me is betraying myself and more often than I’d like to admit, I’ve allowed this to happen. I’m some sort of a people pleaser and I’m quick to lean towards what I believe people think I should be doing or should be.I may not have reached yet but I’m determined now more than ever.
Growth
What’s life or what is there to show for one’s life if there’s no growth? I’ve always been passionate about personal growth. The goal is to be better today than I was yesterday. Personal growth is a deliberate and conscious attempt to improve oneself. However, I’m also aware that growth can be unintentional sometimes – a situation or event can shake up our world and force us to evolve. I can’t describe the joy that comes from looking back and seeing how far we’ve come in our journey – in the strides we’ve made.
We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.

Learning
I wanted to add learning to growth but decided against it. I love to learn, and I’m not referring to learning in the confinements of academics. When I say that I love to learn, I’m referring to it in a holistic manner. Learning from people, from experiences, from the books I read and from any other source that I could learn from. Learning for me also includes unlearning – sometimes, we must leave behind old harmful ways of thinking or behaving. That also is a sign of growth.
So tell me, what are you passionate about?
